Attica, Ind- Mrs. Susie D. Stonebraker, 69, of 417 Baxter, died at 9:07 p.m. Monday May 27, 1974 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient at the hospital a week and had been ill 9 months. Born Jan 26, 1905 in Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Elijah and Mary C. Zackmire Allen. On May 12, 1925 in Attica, she was married to Robert L. Stonebraker, who survives. A resident of Attica for 27 years she had previously resided in the West Lebanon area. A graduate of Attica HS she attended the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include four sons, Wm. R; Thomas D and Frank, all of Lafayette and John P. of Attica Rt 3; two daughters, Mrs. Sue Ann Victory of Attica and Mrs. Margaret Strickler of Williamsport, two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wahlphelt of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Onita Cleland of Newhalt, Calif; and two brothers, Ernest Allen of Linden and Harleigh Allen of Espanola, NM. She was preceded in death by a son, James Lee and a daughter, Carolyn Jane. Services will be 10:30 am. Thursday at Dale Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harvey Lang officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery East of Wingate. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
